A Great Time : to shift out of Bonds (TLT) and into Silver

The Fed must be pretty happy

The Ratio of Silver -to – Bonds, shows “the brakes are still on” for some commodities

Downwards pressure on Silver and other commodities, has “permitted” renewed pressure on Interest Rates (putting bonds higher)

Will last week’s “Bond Spike” mark a Turn ? (with the ratio near 14%)

(Isn’t it time, for people to shift from “high risk, low return” bonds to the “safety” of Silver?)

A Critical Support Level for stocks?

Critical Level for stocks?

The drop in stocks…

Various people, myself included, think that Stocks are now at/near a critical support level.

(Here’s another) : David Skarica  / AddictedToProfits.Net

As you know I have been warning about a big stock market meltdown for a while. The markets are right on the cusp of support at the 150-200 day moving average.
In this issue I show you what happens to markets that go straight up for 2-3 years then break the 200 day moving average . As  a warning it is the financial version of a R rated movie.

(And Another) : Tony Caldaro

The market opened lower today, finished a small a-b-c down to SPX 1891, then rallied to 1912. While this was unfolding the trading day started to look like Friday. Check out the one minute chart. We counted the a-b-c decline as three waves of another seven wave Minute C. The rally to SPX 1912 is the fourth wave, and the afternoon drop is the fifth wave. Should a seven wave decline be enough to end Minute C, the downtrend may end as soon as tomorrow. The SPX has already hit our initial downtrend target of the 1869 pivot. If the current decline is only another part of the larger Minor C decline, it could extend further. Either way, we expect a low soon, a rally, then another low. Then we shall see where the technical are at. Short term support is at the 1869 and 1841 pivots, with resistance at the 1901 and 1929 pivots. Short term momentum is trying to display a positive divergence. Best to your trading on potentially turnaround Tuesday!

MEDIUM TERM: downtrend

LONG TERM: bull market

One Surprising reason that Oil may be falling

WHY was Oil so weak the last few days?
Here’s one answer : The E-Cat announcement

Explained here, on CVN News : http://www.blogtalkr…yond-our-planet

The article:

Cold fusion reactor verified by third-party researchers

Highly Cited-ExtremeTech-Oct 9, 2014

Cold fusion reactor verified by third-party researchers, seems to have 1 million times the energy density of gasoline

cold-fusion-e-cat-red-hot-640x353.jpgAndrea Rossi’s E-Cat — the device that purports to use cold fusion to generate massive amounts of cheap, green energy – has been verified by third-party researchers, according to a new 54-page report. The researchers observed a small E-Cat over 32 days, where it produced net energy of 1.5 megawatt-hours, or “far more than can be obtained from any known chemical sources in the small reactor volume.” The researchers were also allowed to analyze the fuel before and after the 32-day run, noting that the isotopes in the spent fuel could only have been obtained by “nuclear reactions” — a conclusion that boggles the researchers: “… It is of course very hard to comprehend how these fusion processes can take place in the fuel compound at low energies.”

This new report [PDF] on the E-Cat was carried out by six (reputable) researchers from Italy and Sweden. While the new E-Cat looks very different from previous iterations, the researchers say that it uses the same “hydrogen-loaded nickel” and additives (most notably lithium) as a fuel. The device’s inventor, Andrea Rossi, claims that the E-Cat uses cold fusion — low-energy nuclear reactions, LENR — to fuse nickel and hydrogen atoms into copper, releasing oodles of energy. The researchers, analyzing the fuel before and after the 32-day burn, note that there is an isotope shift from a “natural” mix of Nickel-58/Nickel-60 to almost entirely Nickel-62 — a reaction that, the researchers say, cannot occur without nuclear reactions (i.e. fusion). The researchers say there is just 1 gram of fuel inside the E-Cat. For more info about the science/chemistry behind LENR, read our previous story about Rossi’s E-Cat.

Russian Ruble weakness has hampered Gold

Don’t ignore the Ruble, in your Gold analysis… RUB-6-mos

Here’s the mechanism:

+ EU and the US impose sanctions (announced 17-June)

+ Russian co’s and banks cannot borrow USD and other hard currencies

+ Russian co’s scramble to get hard currency to meet obligations

+ Ruble falls to 39.85, rather than R-36 per USD, as is “justified” by lower oil price

+ Russian banks and co’s have to sell some of their gold holdings, to get needed currency

Ruble is down… with Oil

RUB vs. OILB/brent and USO/usOil … update / RUBusd: $0.0252 / USDrub: R-39.85

Per the WSJ:

“Official data suggest the (Russian) central bank spent at least $700 million from its reserves

to limit the Ruble’s slide last week.”

“Ruble hit by… capital flight, an economic slowdown, and Western sanctions… as oil has tumbled.”

“Local demand for hard currencies… as banks and companies have limited access to external borrowing,

due to Western sanctions.”

Oleg Kouzmin, chief economist at Renaissance Capital in Moscow, said:

“The fair ruble price for oil between $95 and $100 a barrel stands at around 36 rubles per dollar.”

It has occurred to me that the Russians may have sold some of their gold, to get the funds

they need to buy Rubles.
